Club Organisation

Payneham Swimming Club Inc. is an incorporated body affiliated with SwimmingSA, the governing body for swimming in South Australia.

The Club is controlled by a Management Committee elected by all financial Club members at the Annual General Meeting in May each year. Membership to the Club (other than life members) lapses immediately before the Annual General Meeting. The Club President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer form an Executive, which can make decisions, which are ultimately subject to full Management Committee approval. The Management Committee can occasionally appoint sub-committees and special office holders as required during the year. Only office bearers elected at the Annual General Meeting can exercise voting rights on the Management Committee.

The Club has a Constitution that details requirements for Special General Meetings, Membership, Affiliations, Expulsions, and Quorums etc. Please ask a Committee Member for a copy if required.

The Management Committee welcomes input from all members. Please raise any issues or concerns with a Committee Member. Members are welcome to sit in on meetings or they can speak to a committee member in private.
